Well, I’m heading into my final weekend here at the orphanage. I am working on getting a current list of all the kids with their ages and sizes. This will be accompanied by current pictures of all the kids. The past few days, I have been working with a new non-profit down here called Didaque Ministries. They are absolutely amazing. They are down here doing top notch work. They are working on getting a website up in the next few days. They also have a page on FB! They would love to talk to you on Facebook, and get to know you! Find out how you can be involved! I’ve been doing some photography work for them, and working on getting everything on FB up and running. I am definitely looking forward to working with them more! Well, I’m off to lunch with the kids. Thanks for keeping up with me while I’ve been down in Mexico. It truly has been an amazing experience, and one that I will never ever forget.
Grace and Peace, my friends!
Today was an awesome day. Today I got to go to Calvary Chapel Rosarito. The fellowship was amazing! I can definitely see God using Calvary throughout the world! It’s really exciting. My sister and I are starting to get involved in Calvary Chapel | Seattle, and I think we can say that we are loving it! After church today, I met a lady by the name of Jenni, and she is moving to the town of Parras this week! I started to talk to her, and found out that she is going to be working with an orphanage down in there that I know. I met the missionaries that run it because they are from the Seattle Area! It is amazing how God works. I just happened to go to church in Rosarito this morning, and God made a connection. I am going to keep in contact with her, and maybe there will be opportunites to serve the Lord there! I love that God works in mysterious ways. He is ever so faithful, and continually working in our lives whether we choose to see it or not. I finished out the afternoon with some tacos from Tacos El Yauki! The Taco Connoisseur has found a new fave taco! If you are ever in Rosarito, Mexico, with me, please let me take you there!
All in all, it has been a fabulous day! I heard that it’s nice and sunny up in Seattle! Enjoy brothers and sisters! This is the day that the Lord has made! Rejoice in that!

Well friends, we’re on the homestretch now. I have just a little over a week left here in Tijuana. It’s been one heck of a ride. It’s weird knowing that I have so little time left here. I have a lot to accomplish still in the little time that I have left. On Monday and Tuesday, I am going to be going back to the school to do some work for a new non-profit started for the school. I will soon have information for you on how you too, can support them! I then finish up the week by taking pictures of all the kids that currently live at the orphanage. I then will compile a list of all the kids, and their sizes etc. It will definitely be a project for this next week, but I am up for it. I would ask that you would pray that I could finish this last part of my trip strong. I feel like I really have been attacked a lot while I have been down here. The devil definitely did not want me down here. He is one elusive little fellow! Also, please pray for these kids. They need Him tremendously! I cannot stress that enough! They need His love to wash over them. Please also pray for the leaders that run the orphanage every day. Pray that He would renew their spirit, and that they can have unconditional love for the kids.
Ok, I will be at the airport at 7PM on Monday the 27th (9 days)! If you would like to see me, meet me there! I would love to see you!
Blessings to you all!

The famous Taquiera! Taquiera Guerita! TECATE HAS IT ALL! WOO!

This is probably the most awesome panadería I have ever been to! AMAZING bread and pastries. What do you know! It’s also in Tecate! Me gusta Tecate!

Well, it’s been a bit chilly here in Tecolote! We had rain the past couple of days, and it definitely has not been hot! I have been without internet for about a week and a half! Things are going well here. I have a lot of work coming up, and lots of stuff that needs to get done before I leave. Sorry, the updates have been so infrequent! Thank you all for taggin’ along for the ride! I will update more later! Keep in mind that God is at work everywhere! Even when you don’t think He’s working …. He is! HE HAS RISEN! PRAISE GOD!
I’m sitting here looking over the orphanage, the sky lit by only the moon and a few dimly lit porch lights. The stars are covering the sky. Spanish worship music is filling my ears. What a great end to a fabulous day! This week we have a team of about 5 hundred people from a school in California. They are absolutely amazing. This morning, I headed out with some kids from the orphanage, and we headed over to “the ranch”! The kids were there, helped out with some sort of building of the new orphanage that is getting built near Tecate. I was working with the guy that runs the house building for City Of Angels today. We went out to all of the 19 worksites to deliver supplies, and to make sure that everything was going well. We then took a late lunch in Tecate! I had thee most AH-mazing tacos today. If I had my pictures with me it would be even better, but I don’t have time tonight. It was so awesome to see all the teams working together, and to get to see all the fruit of their labor.
The thing I like about long term missions is that I get to see the fruit of everyone that plants the seeds. I was so content today in working in the field with fellow laborers! I know that God has called me into full time missions. The Lord is good. I was reading in John in my devotions the other day, and John says that Grace and Truth were given through Christ. That is so great! He has given us grace so, that we may spread His Truth! If it weren’t for him, we would be out here for nothing! Thank you, LORD, for our hope in you alone! Again, thank you all for your prayers! They are treasured greatly! I am sorry that I have not kept in great contact! If you send me a quick message, I will try and respond, but time on the net is limited! I love your comments! Let me know if you are reading or if you have any questions! I’m up and at it again at 7AM this morning! Please pray for the team here right now! It is quite a feat to build 19 houses in four days without a hitch! Love you all!

Hello all! I got internet here at the orphanage so updates will probably be coming more often now. I still have to figure out the whole picture thing, but that shouldn’t take long.
Last week I was working at a school in another part of Tijuana. My main job while I was there was to put on a spelling bee in English for the kids. It consisted of giving all of the kids a test at the beginning of the week and finding out who was going to be in the competition. I then spent a majority of the week translating a lot of words in English back into Spanish for a huge word list to have for the competition. Anyway, it was a lot work!! It went AMAZINGLY!! I am so happy! It sounds like I will be back down next year to make sure it goes without a hitch next year! woohoo!
I have been back at the orphanage since Friday, and I’ve just been hanging out with the kids and helping out where I can. It looks like I’ll be working on building some stuff this next week with one of the people that works here. That is about all I know about that right now. I really don’t have any clue how the rest of my time here is going to be spent. I know I need to work on photography for the orphanage, we will see what the Lord has in store for the rest of my time here. I’ve been dealing with a few things lately that I didn’t really want to have to deal with while I was down here, but I am. If you all could pray that I handle it with care, and that it gets taken care of the way the Lord wants me to. I don’t really want to give details, but definitely needing the prayer. LOVE YOU ALL VERY MUCH! I CAN’T WAIT TO BE HOME!
As I sit here tonight, I am in La Playas De Tijuana. There is a beautiful sunset overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It is a wonderful end to an outstanding last two days. On Saturday a group came in from Salem, Oregon. They drove 26 hours only to get turned around at the border, but they did not give up! Several hours later they were able to cross in a few vans stuffed to the max. They have been a fabulous group. It’s been a joy to work with them! I had to say goodbye to them this morning because it will be my last day at the orphanage for the next couple of days. I would have to say that the camaraderie in the group was one that I haven’t ever really seen. It was amazing to get to know them, and to share in their experiences. I feel like I’m finally getting into the swing of things here! Last night, I did the dishes with one of the young ladies that lives the orphanage. She seemed to be a bit stand-offish, and didn’t really want to talk to me. I had a success last night! We conversed while doing the dishes! I also talked to one of the people that works in the orphanage ’til 2AM! It was great to be able to practice my Spanish, and to get to know her.
This week, I am working at a school a little bit away from the orphanage. I am helping teach the English classes, and put on a spelling bee on Friday. The kids are super, and I am just loving working with them. They are very enthusiastic to learn another language. I’m excited to see how the Spelling Bee goes at the end of the week.
Thank you guys so much for praying! I really can’t express how much I appreciate your support. It is truly turning out to be a great trip. I’m sorry that I don’t have pictures yet!! I’m hoping to have some up soon! Love you all!
Grace and Peace,
Nate
